‘The One Stop Shop’
For more than 40 years, Spinners Web has supported some of the very best of Kenyan and African craftsmanship. Founded in 1985, the shop works with more than 500 workshops, self-help groups, designers, and individual artisans from across Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa.
Our showroom features a carefully selected collection of handmade crafts, clothing, jewelry, bags, textiles, leatherwork, woodwork, home décor, furnishings, and accessories from across Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. We are also known for our extensive collection of ethnic jewelry, traditional crafts, and West African artifacts.
With over 500 vendors — from small independent makers to established guaranteed-space exhibitors — you would be hard pressed to leave empty-handed. With such a wide variety of artisans and products, there is always something new to see.
Open 6 days a week Tuesday to Sundays 9:30am – 6:00pm
Closed on Mondays

In 2017, after relocating the shop three times, Spinners Web found its permanent home in a house designed and built in 1980 by Jacqui together with Norwegian architect Karl Henrik Nøstvik, the architect behind Nairobi’s iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
Influenced by Scandinavian design, the property was later expanded with a modern glass-and-steel showroom surrounding a tranquil open-air garden café, creating a unique shopping experience unlike anywhere else in Nairobi.
We invite you to visit our shop in Nairobi and explore our ever-changing collection of treasures from across Africa. Whether you are searching for handcrafted décor, meaningful gifts, textiles, art, or jewelry, Spinners Web is a destination for creatives, collectors, residents, and travelers alike. While you are here, relax and enjoy a meal or coffee in our American style gardern café.
Without giving too much away, here are a few images of what we have to offer:
